Take Off at Dusk - Bombers

Short Sterlings take off from an airfield somewhere in Eastern England during WW2. The plane was a heavy bomber and glider tug, and was the first four-engined bomber to be introduced into service with the Royal Air Force (1940). Scott flew with the RAF in Stirlings in two bombing raids to Kiel and Cologne in 1942, and many years later recalled that his original painting was probably hung at RAF Wyton.
